ISSUE 12 WE LOVE...

From left to right: Andrew McDonald, Manzoni holdall, Lupo shoulder bag.

Nothing says quality and style quite like a pair of hand-crafted shoes. This women's cream brogue by Sydney shoe icon Andrew McDonald lives up to the bold claim of fashion as investment.

As the holiday season approaches it's important to have all your style must-haves in the bag. A leather holdall from Manzoni is just the ticket for that trip to a far-flung tropical island... or the in-laws.

There are shoulder bags and shoulder bags, but if you're looking for a Christmas gift that will knock her sideways, this burnt orange, beautifully crafted example from Lupo is in a class of its own.

ISSUE 11 WE LOVE...

From left to right: Irregular Choice, Tristran Blair, Gola sneaker

Ballet flats were once the only flats, but now the chick's lace-up is making a glorious appearance in stores and on catwalks. These super cute baby blues from Irregular Choice bring comfort to party feet.

There's nothing like a bit Tristran Blair to lend a spring to your step. With a trans-seasonal edge, these ankle grabbers channel the vintage look and can be worn almost anywhere. Knee length socks optional.

Pity the fellas, whose colour palette is typically limited to safe (aka boring) monochrome. Gola has splashed a highlight of orange on these sneakers, giving an on-trend twist to a wardrobe staple.

From left to right: Ella Maiden duffle, Jimmy Choo for H&M, Wittner tribal sandals

With summer getaways approaching, a travel bag is a much overlooked essential. If you like buying local and love to stand out in a crowd, this duffle from Ella Maiden Sydney is the go.

Finally footwear's big moment has arrived; Jimmy Choo H&M has been released. Although in Oz we can't join the mile long queues (a priority bracelet for the first 160 in the line!) we can wonder from afar.

Just when you thought the world had gone gladiator mad, a new take on today's far from humble sandal has emerged. Bring out your tribal self with these exotically styled sandals from Wittner.

ISSUE 9 WE LOVE...

From left to right: Sportsgirl Peacock clip, green satin clutch, Lipstik pumps

Apparently there's a season that has something to do with horses... although those in the know, like Sportsgirl with this head turning Peacock clip, understand what the party calendar is really about.

Taking a handle-less bag to the track or the after-party is asking for trouble, what with the teetering heels and the need to keep a-hold of that champagne flute. Still, if you can carry it off, a clutch is a winner.

A chunky yet ladylike high heeled pump is just the thing to finish off your outfit. This design from Windsor Smith's Lipstik brand comes in a variety of finishes, including this season's hot favourite, python.

From left to right: Lotte by Primigi, CMD parenting bag, Champion Obama lace-ups

Stylish tots - or more accurately their mums - are a growth market for the footwear industry, shown by these Lotte shoes by Primigi, embodying hip-meets-cute while flawlessly channelling the metallics trend.

This multi-pocketed nylon lined parent bag from Catherine Manuell Designs includes a change mat and adjustable shoulder strap in a variety of unisex fabrications. Perfect for mums and metrosexual dads.

If Barack Obama shoes are the ultimate homage, these Champion lace-ups are the perfect blank canvas on which to express Obamadoration: ideal for anyone who dreams of having Obama at their feet.

ISSUE 7 WE LOVE...

From left to right: Nicola Cerini, Stuart Weitzman, Elise Caarels.

The woman who made plastic bags fashionable has outdone herself with her latest range. Nicola Cerini's new prints are inspired by her recent Broken Hill residency, with this moth and peppercorn print saying summer loud and clear.

New York designer Stuart Weitzman's philosophy is disarmingly simple: "I design shoes to make women happy." He'll have females of every stripe jumping for joy with the delicious Novella style (pictured) from his latest collection.

Be warned. It's safe to say that anything from Melbourne designer Elise Caarels is likely to trigger the credit card reflex. With its pockets and detachable strap, it does at least offer the guilt waiving excuse of being functional as well as desirable.
