Hello and welcome to Shoe Fair Online.

Australian e-tail brand Shoes of Prey have been getting a bit of press recently, and now, having swiped a trio of online retail awards, their stellar status seems set. As with all success stories, their triumph seems to come from a number of factors: offering something a little different from the rest of the crowd and possessing an innate understanding of their target market - in other words creative types who like the idea of designing their own shoes.

The brand shows what can be done by thinking beyond accepted limits, a capacity, which as we all know, has been made that much easier by the e-tail revolution!

Of course you don't have to be a multiple award winner to make a splash in the market, as shown by this issue's coverage of two recently confirmed exhibitors at Australian Shoe Fair. With just weeks to go before the fair doors open, it won't be long before these and many other brands will be available ‘in the flesh' for buyers' viewing.

At Shoe Fair Online we're keen to hear your stories. If you're launching a new brand, expanding your retail presence, changing your marketing strategy, or you have an industry issue you'd like to air, spread the news! Contact me at belindas@aec.net.au
